Cross Country 4 (Riverside, CA to Princeton, NJ)

Because I had to start working on Monday morning, the fourth trip was more hectic than usual and involved less stops. I checked Google Maps: shortest path route took 40 hours, so I figured that's 4 days on 10 hours per, perfectly doable (see map, the route is second from the bottom). As it turned out, all states along I-40 decided to re-pave the freeway during that summer, so I ended up driving 15 hour days along very congested roads. No matter what people tell you, some plans are made to fail.
