The T0XiC project was started in the beginning of march 1996, as a digest of interesting messages from the fUSiON group. It was distributed in a form of a text file with the size of 20-50 kilobytes throughout all the local networks and a lot of our boards. That was the first attempt of establishing a global information system about the techno scene in our country and the predecessor of the disk-magazine with the same name and the serbian techno mailing list Insomnia). The ascii logos which are a necessary part of any project of this type were done by Phuzzy Logik, and the digests were made by MasterMind. There was a total of 6 digests:

03/09/96 T0XiC #1
03/20/96 T0XiC #2
03/27/96 T0XiC #3
04/10/96 T0XiC #4
04/21/96 T0XiC #5
05/05/96 T0XiC #6

The idea of producing a disk-magazine which would deal with our techno-scene was born somewhere in april 1996, under the influence of Imphobia and the similar magazines. A group called Frequency was founded with the mission to produce that magazine. There members were at the beginning ParaZyte, P.R.I.E.S.T. and MasterMind, and were later joined by Beekay and Zordon.

There was a relatively lot of interest for the magazine among the readers, but to keep a project like this, primarily enthusiastic, alive it had to have a bigger involvement from the audience in the making process. That kind of support T0XiC never achieved in the scale that was needed, and the majority of Frequency members was not interested in producing the magazine any more. One of attempts to keep the T0XiC project alive was expanding the subject of the magazine in the fourth issue, but that also didn't work as expected.

With the unselfish help of a few enthusiasts, the T0XiC project was able to exist, trough six digests and five diskmagazine issues, for something less than a year. Soon after releasing the fifth diskmagazine issue, the group that produced it, Frequency, fell apart. To keep the mention of people who worked on this project from disappearing in the dark, here is a short review of 'who did what and for what issue'...
